Description

Monroe County United Ministries provides full-time, full-year affordable childcare for children ages two through six. MCUM has the capacity to care for 97 children at one time and maintains a waiting list for its high-quality, affordable program. Parents must be Monroe County residents and be working full-time or working part-time while attending school. A few spots are available for children of full-time students.

Although the program is open to households of all income levels, low-income families receive first priority for enrollment. Fees are determined on a sliding scale based on family size and income. Providing high-quality childcare in our center costs $210 per child per week for children in the 3-5 year-old range, and $250 per child per week for 2 year olds. The average family on MCUM’s sliding scale pays $60 per week, and a discount is available to families with more than one child enrolled. Eligible families are asked to apply for support through the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF), administered by Chances and Services for Youths (CASY).
