Description

Purpose of the club is to propagate the wonderful sport of model aviation, and to provide our members with the opportunity to learn and enjoy radio controlled flight. The club hosts various club functions, fly-ins, contests, etc. The club accommodates a diverse groups of airplanes and an assortment of aircraft types, including: Fun-flyers, ducted fans, helicopters, pattern flyers, pylon racers, scale flyers, sport and/or recreational flyers, trainers, and turbines. Flying field located about a mile east of State Road 37 on Wylie Road.

Description

The mission of BWS is to promote a growing relationship with artists, encourage one another , and provide opportunities for promoting and exhibiting our watercolor paintings in the community. Description Lake Monroe Sailing Association (LMSA) is located in the rolling hills of southern Indiana at the Moores Creek Sailing Marina on Lake Monroe. LMSA offers club membership, wet storage in slips and on buoys, dry storage in secure fenced areas, marina facilities, a shelter house, camping areas, shower house, childrens playground, and club activities to the sailing public.

Description

The Alpine Ski Club is a dynamic organization dedicated to the enjoyment of winter sports such as alpine skiing and snow boarding, good fellowship among skiers and friends, and activities that bring members together throughout the year.

 

Incorporated in Bloomington, Indiana in 1981 as a non-profit organization, the Alpine Ski Club has drawn its membership from as far away as Glacier, Montana. Members have ranged in age from 20s through 70s. And member backgrounds are just as diverse as their ages. The club sponsors spring break (and an occasional January or February) trip to the Rockies or Europe, day and weekend trips in the mid-west, and "ski nights" at our local resort - Paoli Peaks, Indiana. The ASC is now a member of the Ohio Valley Ski Council, so our members can participate in other OVSC events and its club's trips and racing competitions.

Wapehani Mountain Bike Park on Weimer Road is located off of West 2nd Street (Bloomfield Road). This wooded hilly 43 acre area is designed for mountain bike use. Several trails are available for biking or hiking by foot.
