Description Public Restitution was initiated in 1983 and maintains a volunteer labor source for nonprofit and government agencies. Probationers are referred to various agencies to complete Court ordered community service hours. The agency representative is responsible for supervision and documentation of hours worked by participants. More than forty agencies in the community are involved with the program. In 1997 a new user fee of $1 per each hour ordered was placed into effect to help cover expenses of operation. As of July 1, 2002 the fee was increased to $2 per hour.

Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services: Manages the delivery of services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Oversees the First Steps rehabilitation program for children from birth to age three.
