Description	Monroe Smart Start: Birth-to-Five Coalition works to ensure that all children in Monroe County are ready for school and ready for life! Our coalition brings together the public and private sectors to bring resources and attention to this critical time in a child's development. We focus on the first five years because that's when 85% of brain development occurs, but only 5% of education funds are invested. The Coalition is working towards increasing the number of children in Monroe County who enter kindergarten with the skills and attributes needed to be successful.
