We are a group of concerned citizens from south-central Indiana who believe that the challenges the nation and the world are facing are so serious that they can only be solved through a rebirth of citizenship.
Boxcar Books and Community Center, Inc. is a volunteer run, non-profit organization that exists to provide new and used books, zines, magazines, and comics on topics of social justice, independent media, and fiction for the community. Boxcar Books sends literature of all types, free of charge, to prisoners in the Midwest. It also provides a meeting space for community and literary groups. Boxcar Books is affiliated with the Midwest Pages to Prisoners Project, which can be found at http://www.pagestoprisoners.org/.

The Monroe County Community School Corporation Adult Education program offers individualized instruction and guidance to teen and adult learners who seek to improve basic skills or learn new ones to create better opportunities for themselves and their families.

The Midwest Pages to Prisoners Project is an all volunteer effort that strives to encourage self-education among prisoners in the United States. By providing free reading materials upon request, we hope to aid in the rehabilitation process and stimulate critical thinking behind bars.

The Monroe County Library Foundation, also known as the Friends of the Library, supports and advocates for the patrons and staff of the Monroe County Public Library by enhancing library collections and facilities and by contributing to library programming and professional staff development.
As a nonprofit corporation, the Friends collect and administer the grants, gifts, bequests, and other monies (outside of local tax receipts) that help make the library's many programs such an integral part of our community. The Friends also help staff and run the Friends of the Library Bookstore.
Stone Belt is one of the oldest and largest service providers for individuals with developmental disabilities in south central Indiana. Stone Belt is committed to quality service and invite the entire community to play a role in preparing, empowering and supporting persons with developmental disabilities. We value Stone Belt's tradition of excellence and leadership in the field that is founded on our belief that everyone deserves dignity, self-worth and the right to self-determination.
Lothlorien Nature Sanctuary is a green haven and center for spiritual retreat dedicated to the healing of the earth and of one another. Lothlorien is part of Elvin H.O.M.E., Inc. (Holy Order of Mother Earth) a federal 501c3 organization. Lothlorien is 109 acres of forested hills and valleys located at the edge of Southern Indiana's limestone belt. It is a place to escape the outside world, drop its concerns and masks, and attune to the natural rhythms of the earth.
