Bloomington, Indiana Divorce Support Group

Description:
What we are:

An informal group for divorcing, separating, or divorced individuals residing in the Bloomington, Indiana area. Support while navigating their new circumstances through fellowship with others going through, or having already gone through the process themselves.

We gather to support one another at weekly meetings where we share our feelings, concerns, and experiences with other members who are facing or have already faced similar issues of adjustment. We generally meet outdoors in a public setting when the weather permits but also hold video meetings via Discord during the winter and a few other times throughout the year. Trust is a very important part of both giving and receiving support so it is important that members plan to commit to attending meetings weekly on a regular, and not a sporadic basis, in order to remain part of the group.

Bloomington is in many ways a small town and there are can be overlaps amongst people here in terms of jobs and relationships. That also has the potential to present a conflict of sorts if those circumstances serve to inhibit the ability of members to speak openly about what is on their minds. We will always give priority to present members and for that reason there is the rare occasion that we will be unable to extend an invitation to a prospective new member.

LGBTQIA - friendly.

What we are not:

-This is not a therapy group.
-This is not a dating group.
-This is not a place for seeking hook ups.
-This is not a group for those simply looking to meet new
people to socialize with and activities to fill their time.

The group currently meets weekly from 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. on Monday or Tuesday evenings.

BloomingVeg

Description:

BloomingVeg is an all-ages social and advocacy group for vegetarians, vegans, and veggie-lovers alike in Bloomington, Indiana. BloomingVeg was founded in 2012 in part to organize outings, helping at the local animal sanctuary, promoting & publicizing vegan dining options in Bloomington, leafleting, demonstrating at circuses and engaging in other friendly efforts to help others live more compassionately.

Also because eating is such a social aspect of our lives, we wanted to provide a venue for fun gatherings like Meatless Monday dinners at local  restaurants, potlucks, holiday cookie swaps and more among like-minded people.

If you are a long time vegan or vegetarian, just starting out or maybe you just like eating vegan food--BloomingVeg has something for you.
