Enis Furley Foundation

Description:

Scott Rolen’s Enis Furley Foundation is a non-profit organization created by Scott Rolen of the Cincinnati Reds. Our foundation is named after Scott’s eldest dog, Enis. In 1999 Scott had a vision to brighten the lives of children and their families who are dealing with an illness, hardship or other special needs. The Enis Furley Foundation works to achieve this goal by entertaining distressed families at Camp Emma Lou, our outdoor recreational retreat near Bloomington, IN. The Enis Furley Foundation also provides families unique and exciting, “once in a lifetime” sports experiences through our community outreach program, the Hot Corner Kids. Ultimately, our goals are quite simple and focused … we want to make children smile!

Exchange Club of Northside Bloomington Indiana

Description:

Founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1911 with only a small handful of members, the National Exchange Club has grown to become America’s oldest service organization. Along the way, we’ve developed into a progressive, inclusive Club comprised of over 18,000 men and women who selflessly serve their communities through Exchange.

Whether local clubs decide to focus their service within our four areas of impact or something more personal to their own community, we provide our members with every resource available to make their little corner of the world—and beyond—a better, brighter place for all.

Farm to Family Fund

Description:

The Farm to Family Fund is designed both to make healthful, sustainably produced food more available to low-income households and to support our local, sustainable food system, especially our farmers who take the risk of producing food during the winter months. At the close of Bloomington farmers’ markets, we purchase produce, eggs, and dairy that farmers wish to sell at half price. This food is donated to The Rise, the Community Kitchen of Monroe County, Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, and Hoosier Hills Food Bank.
