Interested in trying out Microsoft Office, but don’t want to spend the money to buy it? Or, perhaps, you are interested in buying Photoshop but don’t want to spend all the money? This program will show you free, open source software alternatives that work very similar to the real thing without all of the cost.

In this class, participants will learn how to effectively search for a job using the Internet. We will explore area employer websites such as Indiana University, Ivy Tech, IU Health/Bloomington Hospital, Monroe Hospital, Herald Times, etc. In addition, we will explore some state and national job websites such as Indiana Career Connect, Craigslist, CareerBuilder, Monster, and Indeed. Registrants must have an email account and have basic computer skills.

This class will give participants an overview of how they can use Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 to prepare professional looking presentations. We will cover the dos and don'ts for preparing PowerPoint presentations, as well as cover helpful tips and tricks to make creating presentations a breeze. Patrons registering for this class should have basic computer skills or have taken the computer basics class at the library. Registration is required. (2 hours)

This class will show the ins and outs of Windows Movie Maker, a basic and free video editing piece of software available on library computers. Patrons registering for this class should have basic computer skills or have taken the computer basics class at the library. Registration is required. (2 hours)
