Internet Basics - Bloomington

This class will provide a basic overview of the type of information that is available via the Internet. We will cover everything from reading news, finding reliable sources of information, library databases, to how to decide on an Internet browser. There will also be time for patrons to ask specific questions about the Internet. Patrons registering for this class should have basic computer skills or have taken the computer basics class at the library. Registration is required. (2 hours)

Email Basics - Bloomington

What is email? How do I sign up for an email account? Once I have an email account, what kinds of things can I do with it (attachments, address book, folders)? These topics and more will be covered in this brief overview of email intended for patrons that have at least some minimal past computer and Internet experience. We will be setting up email accounts with Gmail in this class. There will also be time for patrons to ask specific questions about email. Patrons registering for this class should have basic computer skills or have taken the computer basics class at the library. Registration is required. (2 hours)
