CATS Candidates On Demand
For Immediate Release
Bloomington, IN—Voters can hear and see video statements by local candidates who are on the November 2nd General Election Ballot, Monroe County, on demand via the CATS (Community Access Television Services) website. Candidate statements, as well as Candidate forums and an MCCSC Referendum Forum, also are being telecast on Comcast cable channels 12 and 14.
On September 2, 2010, CATS sent certified letters to all candidates listed by the Monroe County Clerk's Office, inviting them to participate in Candidates On Demand. All candidates were offered the opportunity to have their 3–5 minute candidate statements recorded by CATS, then telecast on cable and streamed on the Web.
