Bloomington, IND—Monroe County Public Library’s 13-year-old Bookmobile is out of commission due to a mechanical problem, forcing the library to suspend its county-wide Bookmobile service. The library anticipates that the Bookmobile will be out of service for approximately two weeks. We regret the inconvenience to our patrons who depend on the Bookmobile’s weekly service.
During this time, Bookmobile patrons can pick up their holds at the Main Library in Bloomington or call 349-3090 to arrange to pick up holds at another location that is more convenient: the Drive-up Window on Grant Street (Mondays-Fridays, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Saturdays-Sundays, 1-5 p.m.) or the Ellettsville Branch, 600 W. Temperance St. Both the Main Library and Ellettsville Branch are open seven days a week. Call 349-3050 for hours or visit www.mcpl.info.
The library will announce the Bookmobile’s return to service on its website.
The Bookmobile is scheduled to be replaced this year. MCPL has budgeted Library Capital Projects funds approved by the County for this purpose.
