Registration: Pick up a Teen Summer Reading Program Game Board at the Main Library, Ellettsville, or Bookmobile Information desks to learn more and get started! You can stop at one of these desks if you have questions about the Summer Reading Program. Have a great summer!

Ages: Completed grade 6 (choose either Children's or Teen Summer Reading Program)

Completed grades 7 -12: Teen Summer Reading Program

Dates: May 27 -- August 3 (Prizes available starting July 1)

Locations: All branches (prize pick-up at Ellettsville and Main branches only)

Here's how it works -- to get a prize, you need to earn ten points. You can earn points four different ways. Ten points will get you your choice of a paperback book, and also get you entered in a drawing for a grand prize (only one completed entry per person may be submitted)! Just what are these four categories?

  1. Read a book (1 point per book read): Just like it sounds... read a book or audio book, any one you want. Write the title in one of the "Read a Book" spaces.

  2. Attend a program (1 point per program attended): We have all sorts of entertaining and educational programs at the Main and Ellettsville branches this summer. Be sure to have the program librarian initial your game board.

  3. Write a review (1 point per review written): Write a brief review of a book you've read (it doesn't have to be one you read this summer) and post it on our website by filling out the teen book review form. Write the title in the "Write a Book Review" section.

  4. Answer an online challenge question (1 point per question answered): Read the weekly computer challenge question and write the answer in the "Answer an Online Challenge Question" section of the game board.
