Write a review of the book, including plot points, if you wish:
In the beginning of the story an odd boy named Charlie goes through a difficult time after his best friend commits suicide and he has to start high school alone. Charlie befriends a group of seniors his first couple days of high school and they introduce Charlie to drugs, alcohol, and lots of partying, but they're nice kids who accept Charlie for who he is. Another one of Charlie's good friends is his English teacher, whom he refers to as Bob. Bob sees Charlie as a fantastic kid who has a real future in language arts, reading, comprehension, and maybe even a career as an author. Charlie also has a sister who is a senior, but she doesn't like her brother very much. :( The book is written as letters, whom Charlie is writing to anonymously and you never figure out who it is. Throughout, the book Charlie slowly grows up as he is being exposed to different things. The book also has a big emphasis on sex.
